There are a few ways to mount an Xsight on your rifle what you are looking to do is move the X-sight back about two inches so you can get good eye position on the eye piece.

First and most important thing is to have a full length standard Picatinny rail on your rifle you can pick these up from your local gun store so you get the correct fitting pic rail for your rifle or off Ebay if you know which rail is the correct rail for your rifle or if you have a dovetail mount you will have to get a dovetail to Picatinny rail adaptor

Second is the Riser Extension Rail which is most important this allows you to mount the Xsight back further than normal otherwise you will not be able to get your eye up to the eye piece of the xsight and find yourself stretching your neck to get up to the Xsight

There is also available a Gun and Bell extension  mount this mount off sets the Xsight ‘s original mount  to the Xsight itself so you can get your eye up to the eye piece of the Xsight

I have found with the Tikka T3’s not the T3x if you get an EGW Picatinny rail you can simply put the rail on backwards and it gives you the perfect position for your Xsight. For those that are lucky enough to live in states that allow adjustable butt stock you may only need a standard Picatinny rail on your rifle
